Cindy Johnson is An Omaha audiologist, educator, and community leader, Johnson has spent decades working in healthcare and education, including serving on the Douglas/Sarpy County Learning Community Coordinating Council, teaching at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and leading professional advocacy efforts through the Nebraska Speech Language and Hearing Association. Raised on a northeast Nebraska farm and holding advanced degrees in audiology, Johnson says her career has reinforced the value of listening to diverse perspectives when making decisions. Her campaign focuses on strengthening public schools, improving affordability for middle-class families, protecting voter-approved ballot initiatives, expanding economic opportunity, lowering prescription drug costs, and increasing access to affordable childcare. She has received the endorsement of Senator DeBoer.

Rens, a Bennington business owner, educator, and entrepreneur, Rens founded Sown Business Strategies LLC and spent more than three decades leading a concrete construction company involved in infrastructure and contracting projects. She holds degrees from Dordt University, University of Sioux Falls, and Liberty University, with academic research focused on leadership adaptability. Rens has also served in higher education and nonprofit leadership roles, including with the Alzheimer's Association Nebraska Chapter and the UNMC Board of Counselors. Her campaign priorities include fiscal responsibility, economic growth, education, and support for foster and adoptive families, seniors, law enforcement, military personnel, and veterans. She is endorsed by Don Bacon and Jean Stothert.
