District 22 Background: District 22 is located in north-central Nebraska spanning across Platte county and a portion of Stanton County. Included in District 22 is Columbus. Incumbent Mike Moser is term limited.
Dawson Brunswick is running unopposed for the District 22 seat in the Nebraska Legislature, succeeding term-limited Senator Mike Moser.
A graduate of Chadron State College, Brunswick built a reputation as a community and economic development leader. In 2019, he became executive director of the McCook Chamber of Commerce, where he helped guide the organization to its first net profit in seven years. He later moved to Columbus and now serves as president of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce. Brunswick and his wife are raising two children in the district.
Brunswick says his legislative priorities include creating opportunities for the next generation to achieve greater success than their parents, strengthening Nebraska's workforce and economy, and bringing a business-minded, results-oriented approach to state government. He emphasizes policies that support job creation, help employers attract and retain talent, and promote responsible fiscal management.
