LINCOLN - On Thursday Governor Jim Pillen hosted President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel in Nebraska to highlight the deep partnership and rich cultural ties shared between Nebraska and the Czech Republic. President Pavel visited Nebraska following his participation in the United Nations General Assembly in New York, making a dedicated stop in the state to honor Nebraska’s Czech history and strengthen diplomatic and economic connections.

“It is a true honor to welcome President Pavel to Nebraska. Today is about honoring our rich history while continuing to build strong economic and cultural ties that will benefit both Nebraskans and the Czech people for generations to come," said Gov. Pillen.
