OMAHA—The Omaha Public Power District’s Governance Committee has recommended Chief Operating Officer Troy Via serve as interim president and CEO beginning Jan. 1, following Javier Fernandez’s announced departure at the end of the year. Via, who joined OPPD in 2013, was selected for his leadership experience and operational knowledge. The full board is expected to vote on the appointment Nov. 19, while the utility prepares to search for a permanent replacement.
