KRIST BID FOR GOVERNOR CAUSING DEMOCRATS TO QUESTION A 3 WAY RACE

Senator Krist’s entry into the race for governor as an independent candidate has caused the Democrats to ask themselves if they should still have their own candidate or support Krist instead. Jane Kleeb, head of the Nebraska Democrat Party, said there would be a Democrat on the ballot. However she left it open to change saying if Krist chose a Democrat running mate they may move to support Krist instead. Krist’s campaign consultant, Dan Parsons, said that if there’s a strong Democrat candidate that definitely won’t help them. Parsons wants to see the Democrats leave the race, however, he also added that Krist isn’t ready to make any deals about lieutenant governor yet.
