REP DON BACON DEFENDS HEALTHCARE VOTE AND EXPRESSES FRUSTRATION WITH FILLIBUSTER AND PACE OF SENATE

Representative Don Bacon held a town hall this Monday night in Papillion. Bacon told the crowd that he would like to see the U.S. Senate get rid of the filibuster. He defended the House’s efforts on healthcare reform, defending his on vote for the American Health Care Act and saying that Obamacare exchanges are broken. He also professed himself to be a strong advocate of the second amendment, and thought there could be some compromise reached on immigration, however he didn’t see it as politically feasible to provide a path to citizenship for those in DACA.
