Federal Election Commission campaign finance reports were due this Sunday. From those it was revealed that Brad Ashford, the former District 2 Representative and Democrat, had raised about $25,000 more than Kara Eastman, his primary challenger. Eastman has done well in fundraising according to Randall Adkins, a political science professor at UNO. However she needs to be outpacing Ashford in fundraising since Ashford is so well known and has been around for a while. Eastman has been fundraising for longer than Ashford with about $70,000 of her donations coming in this past quarter while Ashford has raised nearly his entire $125,000 in the past three months.
